Background:
Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) is one of the world’s leading arenas for oil and gas opportunity identification. This event attracts over 35,000 attendees and 1300 exhibiting companies from some 100 countries worldwide. ONS provides an exceptional venue to promote Atlantic Canada’s expertise in the oil and gas industry as well as its first-rate industry infrastructure to support these operations.
With the assistance of the International Business Development Agreement (IBDA), OTANS and the Governments of New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, NOIA will be leading the Atlantic Canadian Delegation at ONS 2008.
Features:
As part of the Atlantic Canadian Delegation, participating companies will have access to several programs during ONS 2008:
Training/Information Sessions Registered companies will have the opportunity to participate in pre-event information sessions to prepare delegates for the exhibition and conference.
Canadian Pavilion The Pavilion will be set up as a café style meeting area. Two large SmartBoards will display short films on the oil industry in Canada, Canadian expertise in the Arctic and harsh environments and profile the various participants.
Matchmaking The services of a qualified consultant will be available to bring Atlantic Canadian Companies in touch with Norwegian companies that represent potential partners, joint ventures and technology transfer opportunities.
Canada Networking Reception Held at Teekay’s waterfront offices in Stavanger, the networking reception will feature an introduction by Canada’s Ambassador to Norway. Atlantic Canadian companies will play host to a number of invited key international buyers, partners, investors and industry leaders.
Canada @ ONS Seminar This 200-seat seminar will feature presentations on the Canadian oil and gas industry and the expertise of companies working in our region.
Timelines:
Hotel Space In order to secure hotel space in Stavanger during ONS, individuals must be registered delegates for the exhibition and conference. Hotel space in the city during this international event is extremely limited. To secure hotel space for the Atlantic Canadian Delegation, companies must register as soon as possible.
Show Guide The deadline for registered companies to be included in the ONS Event Show Catalogue is Monday, May 5, 2008.
