President of CAPP to speak at NOIA’s 2010 Annual General Meeting

Members of the Newfoundland & Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (NOIA) will gather on Wednesday, January 27th to elect their new Board of Directors for 2010 at their AGM at the Holiday Inn, St. John’s.
David Collyer, President of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) will be the featured keynote speaker at the AGM luncheon. Mr. Collyer will provide an outlook of Canada's oil and gas sector and CAPP’s perspective on crude oil and natural gas supply in both Western Canada and Atlantic Canada. He will also share CAPP's views on Canadian climate change policy post-Copenhagen.
CAPP represents 130 companies that explore for, develop and produce natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil, oil sands, and elemental sulphur throughout Canada. Prior to joining CAPP in September 2008, Mr. Collyer was President and Canada County Chair with Shell Canada He holds a B.Sc. in Mineral Engineering (Petroleum) and an MBA from the University of Alberta. His professional affiliations include the Association of Petroleum Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM).
