NOIA appoints new president and chief executive officer
17 July 2007, St John’s, NL
– NOIA Chairperson Jerry Byrne is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert (Bob) Cadigan as NOIA’s president and chief executive officer, effective 17 July 2007.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors and the members of NOIA, I’m delighted to welcome Bob as our new president and CEO. We’re all looking forward to working with him,” said Mr Byrne. “Bob’s extensive business experience and proven record in organizational branding will serve NOIA members well, as the East Coast oil and gas industry and our association continue to grow.”
Mr Cadigan is an experienced executive who has contributed to the success of a number of Newfoundland & Labrador based corporations. As VP Personal Insurance and Marketing with Anthony Insurance, Bob lead the strategic re-positioning of Anthony Insurance to a new market space including brand development, advertising/communications strategy and technology driven operational tactics resulting in increased market share, category leading client retention and significantly improved profitability. Anthony Insurance’s leadership was recognized by the St John’s Board of Trade as recipient of the 2000 Business Excellence Award and the 2000 Customer Service and Reliability Award.
He developed Anthony’s corporate contact center that became the model for corporate partner, Paris based AXA Insurance successful joint venture with National Bank of Canada in Montreal.
While at Johnson Inc Bob was a key member of the corporate team that successfully expanded Johnson’s group through a period of dramatic national growth.
Mr Cadigan is a graduate of Memorial University in St John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador.
As President and CEO of NOIA, Mr Cadigan will be responsible for daily operations and strategic planning for the Association; management of NOIA staff and advising the Board on issues of concern to NOIA members; maintaining relations with government, licence-holders and other stakeholders in the East Coast oil and gas industry; and principally representing the views and interests of NOIA members in various media and forums.
Mr Cadigan welcomes the opportunity to lead NOIA at this critical time: “East Coast Canada’s oil and gas industry is poised for a new wave of success, as North American and other energy markets continue to expand. I look forward to helping position NOIA members in meeting that demand.”
NOIA is pleased to welcome Mr Cadigan to the position of President and CEO.
