NOIA President & CEO Ted Howell stepping down
St. John’s, NL; 24 May 2007
Fellow NOIA members:
A wise man once said that nothing is constant except change. This is true of NOIA as much as anything else. Thus, it falls to me to inform you, with no small regret, that our President and CEO Ted Howell will be stepping down in order to pursue a new personal and professional challenge as Chief Operating Officer with NOIA member East Coast Catering Limited. Ted has kindly agreed to stay with us to execute a successful Conference 2007 and a smooth transition for a new CEO. The Board of Directors has already established a committee to oversee the process of selecting Ted's successor.
It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have worked with Ted. His leadership has been invaluable as NOIA has navigated through this past 14 months of change and challenge. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to congratulate him on this new opportunity and thank him for the outstanding service he has given NOIA and its members during his tenure. We are very sorry to see him go, but are very pleased to know that our loss is a member company's gain. We look forward to his ongoing active involvement as a NOIA member.
Jerry Byrne
Chair, NOIA Board of Directors
